Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

6/21/11
Congress created the Federal Reserve System in 1913 to regulate and influence the finances of the nation.  It is composed of 12 regional banks.

Money minted and printed during all the presidential terms of office are shown under the presidents' faces.

Click on these bank-note displays to see some of the historical U.S. currencies.

This display of $100 bills is approximately 6' x 8'.  Those little bundles at the top are packets of bills.

The stacks are two or three deep.
