Ferguson's Restaurant - St. Joe, Arkansas

6/25/11
Our trip from Branson to Nashville, Tennessee took us through the Ozarks of  Arkansas.  About an hour from Branson we stopped at Ferguson's Restaurant in St. Joe, Arkansas for a leg stretch and coffee.

Ferguson's is an old and fascinating building. Zach and Bob strolled the premises while Joan fetched the coffee.  Some interesting items caught our attention.

This custom-made lamp is an attractive and functional piece of craftsmanship and suggests that it might have been copied from an old candle lamp.

With a little imagination, you can see the diamond shape light portals casting a glow along the area under the porch.

The construction of the porch reveals the joists that hold the decking above.

The other end of the joists are set into the stone wall.

It appears that this ring and the chain links may have been hand made from the irregular shapes.
Another unique element is this sliding door bolt in the bathroom.
