Page, Arizona

June 6-9, 2010
Page, Arizona

The trip north from Flagstaff to Page was through desert country.  Eroded red rocks created a variety of landscapes.

Upper Antelope Canyon
One of the most fantastic photo experiences in the world is a walk through the slot canyon called Antelope canyon.  Around noon, sunlight streams through openings between the narrow red canyon walls and creates amazing opportunities for shooting pictures.

Our guide, Henry, pointed out interesting sights and took pictures with our cameras.

Seeing the images on the camera or computer screen is an amazing experience.  The camera captured colors that the eye couldn't see.

Lake Powell
The heat was around 100 degrees and Zach was suffering.  We drove to a beach called Lone Rock where families were dry camping nd enjoying the water.  Music played on a boat belonging to the people floating in the oversize rubber tubes.

Zach swam tethered to a 12 foot leash.  Bob is wearing a white shirt and broad straw hat for protection from the sun's rays.
